​We grew almost 50 varieties of garlic in 2024. Although growing that many varieties is a passion of mine, I am not so much of a garlic connoisseur to have strong opinions about flavor. I like them all!

We have 4 main types or groups of garlic. Artichoke softneck, and Rocambole, Porcelain and Purple Stripe (including regular purple stripe, marbled purple stripe and glazed purple stripe) hardneck. If you are buying garlic to grow why not try one from each group?

Artichoke: Stores the longest and has the most cloves per bulb, but generally milder. We are selling Sicilian Gold Softneck

Rocambole: Averages 8-12 cloves per bulb and doesn't store as well. 

​

Porcelain: Very hardy but only averages 4 large cloves per bulb.

​

Purple Stripes: Medium storage capacity and around 10 cloves per bulb.
